There was one time then I’m almost done teaching basic Microsoft Office Word, Excel, Powerpoint to the sister of the Mayor in our City, she asked me if I’ve been to this certain place because she wants to look at the house because she was planning to buy it and sell the property to someone else at a higher cost.
I told her, “maybe we can look over the net for pictures?”, and she said, OK. I opened Google, entered some keywords and to my delight I found this very good software which helps people see ALMOST all the places in the world. I installed the software called Google Earth and it was darn good. The only problem I think with this program is that some part or areas are covered with clouds during the time the satellite scanned the place to take a picture from top view.
And also one thing, some areas are still very old, I believed Google scanned the places by the year 2004 and until now they are still updating it. This program also shows some recent pictures added by Google Contributors and some using GPRS. Please take time to install this neat software inside your computer and take a look around the world. Especially for people who want to travel around the world but don’t have the budget, this might be a cheaper idea.
